Abacha's former CSO, Major Al-Mustapha floats new political party (GPN) against 2019 Election



The former Chief Security officer (CSO) to late General Sani Abacha, Maj. Hamza Al-Mustapha has floated a new political party ahead of the 2019 election. In a statement on Thursday, April 20, Al-Mustapha who in 2013 said he had no intention to venture into politics, announced officially, that the party will be called Green Party of Nigeria (GMP).


'Finally, the real people’s Party has landed. Please give praise to our Creator for a rare beautiful gift to the people. The future is GPN and GPN is the Future, he said.
Al-Mustapha in 1993 was accused of the murder of Kudirat Abiola, the wife of late Chief Moshood Abiola.He stood trial for the murder and was sentenced to death by Mojisola Dada, justice of the Federal High Court, Lagos,on January 30, 2012, but was discharged and acquitted by the Court of Appeal in 2013.

Three die after vehicle plunges into Azumini River in Abia State.

Three people have been confirmed dead after a vehicle carrying five passengers plunged into Azumini blue river, a tourist spot in Ndoki, Abia State. According to Martins Nwankwo, who posted the photos, the tragic incident occurred on Monday, November 21. Two other passengers are currently receiving treatment at Cottage Hospital, Azumini. What he wrote and graphic photos from the incident after the cut...
