It is a debate that has divided football fans all over the world. Who is the better player between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi? The pair have established a monopoly on the balon d'or splitting the last nine awards between themselves and the trend doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon.
As always, the eternal rivals will go head to head for football's highest individual award thanks to stellar seasons with their respective clubs.

Brazilian soccer legend, Ronaldo De Lima has voiced his admiration for both players but believes Ronaldo is in pole position to claim his fifth balon d'or and pull level with Messi. He said: “This year, I would choose Cristiano Ronaldo as the winner of the Ballon D’or.

“For the last two years, he has been decisive. He was key in so many matches in the Champions League, he’s in the final. Cristiano’s numbers can’t be ignored.”

“Both of them are fantastic. “I love Messi with the ball at his feet, he scores goals and does all the rest too. But Cristiano’s numbers can’t be ignored. “It’s a cruel comparison. Both of them deserve respect.”

50 die in Akwa Ibom church collapse – Witnesses

Not less than 50 people died when a church collapsed in Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom, earlier today, eyewitnesses have said. Though the police are yet to give a figure to the fatalities in the Reigners Bible Church collapse,eyewitnesses said they counted not less than 50 bodies. According to the News Agency of Nigeria the church’s iron rafters caved in during the consecration service of the Founder of the church, Apostle Akan Weeks, as a bishop. A witness said that the building collapsed 30 minutes after the Governor Emmanuel Udom, a special guest of honour at the event, arrived at the church. Another witness, Miss Uduak Effiong, said that a female victim’s bowel was ripped open by the tragedy. Effiong, who is a communication arts student of the University of Uyo, said that she lost three friends to the incident.
