Obaseki sacks Perm Sec over N283m budget padding Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, has ordered the sack of the permanent secretary in the state's Ministry of Youth and Special Duties, Dr. (Ms) Osayuware Idahosa, over alleged  padding of the  budget for the conduct of primary school examination to the tune of N283 million. Three other civil servants were sent on suspension for their alleged role in the scam. According to reports, Dr. Idahosa was referred to the State Civil Service Commission for appropriate action, in line with the rules and guidelines of the state civil service. Other state workers who were implicated in the alleged fraud are: Barr. S. A. Erhunmwunse Edokpayi, Mrs. E.I. Ero-Ugiagbe and Mr. Lucky Adagbonyin. They are to proceed on an indefinite suspension without pay and would be investigated by a panel to be set up by the state government. On Friday, the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal ordered the  Department of State Service, DSS, to produce detained former National Security Adviser,  NSA, Col.  Sambo Dasuki , rtd, in court to testify as a witness in the ongoing trial of former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party,  PDP,  Chief Olisa Metuh. The appellate court made the order after it upheld an appeal Metuh filed to challenge refusal of trial Justice Okon Abang  of the Federal High Court in Abuja to sign a subpoena that would compel DSS to release Dasuki to appear as his witness. Yesterday September 29, 2017, Tom Price resigned as Secretary of Health and Human Services following criticism of his use of private charters and military aircraft for travel. In a series of reports in September 2017, Politico reported that since May 2017, Price had expended more than $1 million of department funds for his own travel on private charter jets and military aircraft. Many of the flights were between cities that are easily accessible by train or car and have frequent, low-cost commercial airline service. Five Democratic members of Congress requested an inspector general's investigation into Price's use of private aircraft.   Price's use of private planes was legal but was criticized by ethics experts as a misuse of taxpayer funding. Price's spokesperson justified Price's use of private jets as a reasonable precaution, given that Price was once unable to attend an important meeting because a commercial flight was cancelled;  Politico  note...

The Nigerian Army on Tuesday September 26, discovered a fake military base operating in Okpokwu, Benue state. The fake soldiers in the base are believed to have been operating a criminal enterprise where they trained high profile criminals. The entrance to the fake base had a signpost with the inscription "Coastal Defence Force 4th Arms. Signal Ship Base. Okpokwu, Benue State Command" They were caught with full military fatigues and weapons like cutlasses and what appeared to be locally-made riffles.

Congo-Brazzaville's President's daughter, Claudia Sassou Nguesso was recently involved in a blackmail scandal and when she refused to oblige her blackmailer, he released her sex tape. Claudia, 50, is married to a lawyer but she kept a side-dude. Kris Jenner's only son, Rob Kardashian, has accused his baby mama, Blac Chyna of beating him up and trying to choke him while she was high on alcohol and drugs, last December. According to a lawsuit filed by, Rob K against Blac Chyna, he claims Chyna first tried to choke him with an iPhone charging cable, then repeatedly struck him with blows to the head and face. According to the lawsuit: "Chyna lunged towards Rob with an iPhone charging cable and attempted to strangle Rob," the lawsuit states. "Chyna was purposely trying to hurt Rob and struggled with him as she tightened the iPhone cord around Rob’s neck." The surrogate who is carrying the unborn third child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has been revealed.  RadarOnline.com got the exclusive first photos of the 27-year-old surrogate who is an African-American. She is expected to give birth to a baby in January 2018. According to the reports, this isn't her first surrogacy. She did it in 2014 and everything went great for her with the pregnancy. Kim and Kanye who already have two children, daughter North West, 4, and son Saint West, 1 are reportedly paying their surrogate  $75,000 to carry Kim’s baby including medical expenses and a monthly 'discomfort; allowance of $4,500. She will also earn $2,000 more if she gives birth by cesarean and $5,000 if she miraculously gives birth to twins. The agency that brokered the deal was paid a deposit of $69,000.

Controversial Musician, Tunde Ednut has reacted to the LIB's explosive video of the Okoye brothers having a heated altercation and nearly coming to pounce on each other. Taking to Instagram, Ednut said it was the total end of Psquare and blamed Peter for releasing the explosive video. He wrote: 'PETER AND PAUL PSQUARE... A member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dare Pelemo, has been accused of sexually and physically assaulting a widow at the Assembly complex. Following the allegations, the Ekiti State International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) has demanded the arrest and prosecution Mr Pelemo. He is accused of fondling the breasts of Mrs Ilesanmi on September 6 at the Assembly complex. Mrs. Ilesanmi said she raised an alarm but the lawmaker mobilised thugs to beat her in the Office of Majority Leader Mr. Tunji Akinyele, where she lodged a complaint on the alleged sexual harassment. She went on to allege that the thugs tore her clothes and provided a photo as proof. Prison officials at the Ogwashi Uku prisons in Delta state have been accused of torturing one of its inmates, Onos Osagie, for allegedly leaking out information about the activities in the prisons. According to Prince Harrison Gwamnishu who shared the story online, the prison officers tortured the inmate because he disclosed that an inmate died on Sunday due to the failure of the prison officers to take him to the hospital. President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the immediate evacuation of Nigerian students stranded in Dominican Island following the devastating Hurricane Maria that wrecked the Island. The Hurricane Maria, raged through the Caribbean including parts of the Dominican Republic with heavy rain and high winds as it passed off its east coast on Thursday. It was ranked a Category 4 storm. An eight-year-old boy has died after being beaten with a hammer while trying to protect his younger sister from a child molester. The child was attacked by his mother's former partner, 23-year-old Deandre Chaney Jr. Chaney Jr attacked Dante Daniels with a hammer after the young child tried to stop him from committing a lewd act on his seven-year-old sister, Danae, according to a criminal complaint. The complaint also states Chaney Jr used lighter fluid in the attack.  Dante’s grandmother Monique Brown told WBRC: "Trying to save his sister from this child molester, that’s why he was beat the worst," The attacker had taken a knife and hammer to both Danae and her mother, 28-year-old Elizabeth Salone so Dante stepped in to help and he was fatally attacked. Men of the Lagos state police Rapid Response Squad have arrested two robbers who specialize in robbing and dispossessing road users and passers-by of their valuables during traffic at night. The suspects were arrested along Jakande road in Lekki - Epe Expressway while they were robbing passengers of their belongings at about 10:00 p.m. The suspects have been handed over to Base 129, the closest police station to the scene along with exhibits recovered from them.
